The Wolverton Folk & Blues Fair is a family-friendly festival that has been gaining momentum since its successful launch in 2011. The festival features fantastic bands and artists each year, as well as locally produced food, children’s activities, a tea tent, and a real ale tent. This year’s special guest artists include London’s Premier Jump-Blues/Swing Band JUMP66, award-winning UK Folk stars THE SHACKLETON TRIO, and British Blues Supremo THE ROBIN BIBI BAND.

In addition to the main stage, the festival also features a popular ‘Beer Tent Acoustic Stage,’ which provides a full and varied programme, featuring some of the best Folk & Blues musicians the Isle of Wight has to offer. Other confirmed bands and artists include Grizzly & The Grasshoppers, The Crew, The Bohemians, Amy Joliffe, The Purple Emperors, Red Sqwrl, Wight Ukers, Bexter, Julie Jones, Feck!, All Washed Up, Moonshine Border Morris, and more to be announced.

The festival offers an IW real ale beer tent, tea tent, barbeque, children’s activities, craft stalls, and Morris Dancing. It’s set against the backdrop of the beautiful West Wight scenery and is in aid of Leukaemia Research/Cancer Support and Brighstone School.

Tickets are available for £10.00 in advance or £12.00 on the day. Children 12 and under get in for free. Advance tickets can be purchased from Waterstones Bookshop in Newport, The Village Shop in Brighstone, Briddlesford Lodge Farm Shop in Wootton Bridge, Brighstone School, and Orchard Brothers in Freshwater Bay.
